It is the story of Mischa Merz's dream trip across America in 2009 in which she fought on several amateur boxing tournaments and met some of her idols including the legendary Lucia Rijker, known as 'the most dangerous woman on the planet'. The Sweetest Thing takes the story of women's boxing further than her previous critically acclaimed book Bruising, and into the future when, in 2012, it will finally be an official Olympic sport.
